Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

At My Life After, we recognize that your financial and separation disclosures are deeply sensitive. Our platform is built with a security-first architecture. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, protect, encrypt, and manage your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in two main ways to provide our Service:

  • Account Credentials: Email addresses and login credentials used to authenticate your session.
  • Briefcase Records: Financial disclosures, including asset records, bank details, pension values, liabilities, and income matrix entries.

3. AI Assistant Anonymisation

When you send chat queries or request guidance from our Divorce Assistant AI, we run an automated redaction script that sanitises names, personal identifying descriptors, and raw identifiers before querying the language model API. This ensures your legal inquiries remain anonymous and protected.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or lease your financial information to third parties. We only share data in the following circumstances:

  • Solicitor Sharing: If you explicitly choose to generate a secure sharing code, matching vetted professionals can view the records you've selected to share.
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or family court mandate.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You have absolute control over your records. You can delete your account or flush all local and cloud Briefcase data at any time from your Profile/Dashboard screen. Once triggered, the deletion is permanent and cannot be recovered.
